AFITEXINOV celebrates its 30th anniversary !

Founded on the 3rd of July 1992 by Yves Durkheim and Didier Benamu, AFITEX set up its geocomposite drainage and waterproofing manufacturing plant in Champhol (28) in 2002.

In 2003, AFITEX obtained the CE mark and was able to market its products throughout Europe to customers in the construction, public works and environmental sectors. European and then international development thus began very quickly.
 

 

In 2004, AFITEX ALGERIA was created, in 2007, AFITEX-TEXEL was created in Canada, then the company established itself in Morocco in 2008, in Central Europe in 2009 and in the Middle East in 2015. In 2021, the company will continue its expansion with the creation of AFITEXINOV UK.

 

 

From an industrial point of view, AFITEX acquired a new geotextile manufacturing line in 2006, then a drain-pipes manufacturing line in 2016, enabling it to manage the overall production of its products in Champhol.   

In 2018, AFITEX acquired TEXINOV, a company specialising in geosynthetic reinforcement, based in Saint Didier de la Tour (38).

The two entities merged in 2019 to become AFITEXINOV, offering its customers a complete range of drainage, waterproofing and soil reinforcement solutions. The logo changed to reflect the new name:

In January 2022, the reinforcement solutions production site left the city of Saint Didier de la Tour to move to a brand-new factory in Cessieu (38), which has been built in less than 9 months!

For its 30th anniversary, AFITEXINOV is heading east: AFITEX Pacific has just been created and new prospects are to come in the next few months in Asia.

 

Today, AFITEXINOV is :

  • More than 500 certified products,
  • 185 employees,
  • 17 production lines,
  • 6 entities worldwide,
  • 23 patents registered,
  • More than 20 million m2 of drainage and reinforcement geocomposites sold each year worldwide.
